Your role
AirAsia is hiring an intern in their Product and Tech team, based in KLIA2, Sepang. This role will be reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering.
As a start-up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
Collaborate in the Creation of an Information Security Policy:
Aid in drafting, reviewing, and refining organizational policies about information security.
Assist in aligning policies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate Identification of Information Security Management System (ISMS):
Contribute to the identification and establishment of an effective ISMS framework.
Assist in assessing risks and vulnerabilities to inform ISMS development.
Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to asset registration.
Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks for organizing and managing documentation.
Ensure compliance with established documentation standards and procedures.
Framework Development:
Participate in the development and enhancement of frameworks supporting information security management.
Collaborate with team members to implement standardized approaches for asset management and security protocols.

About you
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
Technical Skills:
Understanding of information security fundamentals including cryptography, network security, and access control.
Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and networking protocols.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Knowledge of security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.
Strong critical thinking skills for identifying and mitigating security risks.
Communication Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills for documenting procedures and reporting findings.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
