Your role

If you are a Technical Services Engineer at AirAsia, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient reliability program to analyze and improve fleet efficiency and performance.
  • Analyze engine trend data for condition monitoring of engines, and data for other critical aircraft components to maintain inherent reliability.
  • Liaise with Engineering Department in various data and performance analyses. Liaise with Dispatch and Technical and Development pilots in operational matters (Route studies, Airport suitability, EDTO, etc.).
  • Produce takeoff and landing performance data used in daily operations.
  • Design and maintain special takeoff flight procedures (EOSID) to avoid obstacles/terrain.
  • Maintain performance data, supporting documentation and Company manuals.
  • Liaise with vendors, and OEM, flight crew and airport authorities to assist with the production/assessment/validation of performance and navigation data.
  • Conduct performance analysis in new route study. Assesses Airworthiness data for performance impact.
  • Manage the airline EFB program and ensure a reliable operation.
  • Analyze engine drift down/decompression strategy for certain route segments.
  • Conduct inflight data collection/monitoring for technical purpose and flight deck familiarization on flights.
  • Publish EFB Notices to inform flight crew and EFB users regarding all EFB related matters.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned by DFO/CPTD.
