Building Information Modeling Engineer (Rolling Intake)

Join Gamuda Berhad as an Engineer in Building Information Modeling, providing technical support for construction projects through 3D BIM model development.

Your role

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance 3D models for coordination, shop drawing, and combined services drawing production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative BIM solutions.
• Conduct design and constructability studies for various disciplines before construction.
• Review and ensure project designs meet scope and specifications.
• Issue RFIs and manage design changes and 3D modelling issues.
• Work with senior engineers to propose design solutions.
• Collaborate with site operations on design and construction processes.
• Lead and guide draftspersons and 3D modellers.
• Participate in technical and BIM discussions to resolve project issues.
• Adhere to quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

About you

Qualifications

• Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Civil and Structural Engineering, or Building Technology.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling tools like Autodesk Revit is advantageous.
• Experience with SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor is considered.
• Personal qualities include being hardworking, adaptable, honest, a team player, and passionate about new technologies.
• 1-2 years of experience in 3D modelling or construction sites is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
