Your role

As a Record to Report intern, you will assist the Accountant with the preparation of journal vouchers, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, assist with the month-end closing and reporting. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and has a work-from-home job arrangement.

As an intern, your responsibilities:

• Prepare and upload journals 
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• Rolling forward balance sheet reconciliation
• Perform balance sheet open items clearing
• Track custom duty payment
• Upload SAP data into the group reporting platform
• Generate various financial reports such as inventory, GIT, intercompany, deferred liabilities and etc
• Perform inventory data update, analysis, and adjustment
• Provide assistance to other team members' operation tasks

About you

Requirements for this internship include:

• Currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Commerce or working towards Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACCA, MICPA, or CIMA.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Finance processes and accounting entry. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work 
• Pro-active and good team player 
• Ability to complete a variety of related tasks 
• Mature and able to work independently 
• Able to commit for 6 months
