  • Wealth and Personal Banking

  • Global Banking & Markets (Global Banking, Markets & Securities Services and Wholesale Client Services)

Global Banking & Markets business focuses on building partnerships with corporate, government and institutional clients to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. The company uses the strength of HSBC’s international network to connect emerging and mature markets, covering key growth areas. The bank products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales, and transaction banking.

  • Commercial Banking (Business Banking and International Subsidiary Banking)

The bank provides businesses with banking services in both home markets and overseas. These include trade and receivables finance, global liquidity and cash management, multi-currency accounts, commercial cards, overdrafts, working capital finance, term loans, and syndicated, leveraged, acquisition, and project finance.

  • Global Functions (Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources and Finance)

It plays a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses, which include areas from legal, risk, and finance to human resources, sustainability, marketing, and communications.

  • Digital Business Services (Operations, Technology, and Key Central Business Services)

Digital Business Services teams are the foundation of HSBC, providing essential support across technology, operations, and key central business services for global businesses and functions. The bank plays a vital role in driving great experiences for customers and colleagues and enabling the bank’s strategy.

Training & development

Join on an internship and you’ll be invited to take advantage of many opportunities to learn and develop. These include:

  • An induction: you’ll start your placement with an induction into the business and the specific business area you have chosen

About you

  • To be eligible for a place in the program, you must be an undergraduate student studying in any discipline with the availability to work full-time for a minimum duration of 10 to 12 weeks. 
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good learning attitude and pleasant personality to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The legal right to work in Malaysia
